Acquiring a Certificate Confirming Legal Residence for Citizens of EAEU Member States Working in the Republic of Armenia

Citizens of EAEU member states who work in the Republic of Armenia are exempt from acquiring a work permit in Armenia and may acquire a certificate confirming their legal residence in the Republic of Armenia. This certificate is necessary for exercising their rights in Armenia (for example, to cross the border without incurring administrative liability when staying for more than 180 days).

   To submit the application, it is necessary to:

  • enter www.workpermit.am platform,
  • click on the “Register” button,
  • select the “EAEU Citizen” option,
  • enter the Public Service Number (the foreign national shall be registered with the SRC, where their paid taxes and duties are reflected) and confirm,
  • proceed with identification and create a user account by uploading a photo, an identity document, and the employment contract.

Requirements

To acquire a certificate confirming legal residence, it is necessary to:

  • be a citizen of one of the EAEU member states,
  • have an employment contract signed with a company registered in the Republic of Armenia

Required documents

  • a photo (colored) measuring 35 mm x 45 mm;
  • colored copy of the passport,
  • bilateral signed employment contract.

Processing time and procedure

Applications are accepted online, 24/7. The reference confirming legal residence is issued depending on the term specified in the signed employment contract (for a 1-year contract – 1 year; for a 5-year contract – 5 years; for an open-ended contract – 1 year).
