Migration Service of the Republic of Armenia
- In December 1990, the Committee on Refugee Issues under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Armenia was established, based on the State Committee for the Reception and Resettlement of Armenians Repatriating from the Armenian SSR.
- In February 1992, the State Department for Refugee Issues of the Republic of Armenia was established.
- On October 16, 1995, the Department for Refugee and Population Displacement Issues was created within the Ministry of Social Security, Employment, Population Displacement, and Refugee Issues of the Republic of Armenia.
- By Decision No. 244 of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated April 21, 1999, the Migration and Refugee Department under the Government of the Republic of Armenia was established.
- By Government Decision No. 1898-N of November 28, 2002, the "Staff of the Migration and Refugee Department under the Government of the Republic of Armenia" state administrative institution was created.
- By Government Decision No. 633-N of May 19, 2005, the Ministry of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia was established, within which the Migration Agency was included.
- By Presidential Decree NH-286-N of November 18, 2009, the State Migration Service was established within the system of the Ministry of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia, functioning as a state body under the jurisdiction of the Ministry.
- Since 2014, the Service has been part of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.
- In 2016, the Service became part of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development.
- Since 2023, the Migration and Citizenship Service has been operating under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
