To change the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Armenia, the applicant shall personally visit preferred subdivision of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, either by booking an appointment in advance or by joining a live queue.
When booking an appointment, it is necessary to enter the details of the person who will personally come to the appointment. An individual appointment shall be made for each visitor, regardless of age.
For citizens under the age of 16, the application for passport exchange shall be submitted by the child’s parent or legal representative (adoptive parent, guardian, custodian, or authorized person). If the parent or legal representative is unable to submit the application in person, the authenticity of their signature on the submitted application shall be notarized. The application shall clearly state that it is for the purpose of issuing a passport to the child and shall include the child’s personal details (first name, last name, day, month, and year of birth).

Service Fee and Payment Procedure
To exchange a passport, a fee of 1,000 AMD shall be paid.
In case of loss, the same fee of 1,000 AMD applies for acquiring a new passport.
Payment can be made at the Migration and Citizenship Service subdivision via payment terminal or POS terminal, or in advance by transferring the amount to bank account number 900005162152 and presenting the payment receipt.
If the payment is made in advance, the receipt shall be submitted in printed form, as it will be attached to the applicant’s documentation.
Processing Time and Procedure
The passport is issued on the 5th working day after application submission, and in case of loss, on the 10th working day following the date of application.
To receive the new passport, the applicant shall visit the same MCS subdivision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs where the application was submitted.
