There are 57 countries whose citizens shall acquire an invitation from a physical person or legal entity residing in Armenia in order to apply for an entry visa to the Republic of Armenia.
An individual shall submit the invitation in person to the Migration and Citizenship Service unit located at 14 Tairov Street in Yerevan. Based on this invitation, the invited person can apply only to Armenian embassies or consulates located abroad.

This service is available only in person and strictly by prior online appointment.

As individuals, the following persons may submit an invitation to the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs:

• citizens of the Republic of Armenia residing in Armenia,
• foreign nationals residing in Armenia with a valid residence status.

Required documents

To submit an invitation for an entry visa, the applicant shall appear in person and provide the following:

• completed invitation form,
• passport (in the case of a foreign national, also the residence card),
• copy of the invitee’s passport,
• document attesting the payment of relevant state duty.
• when completing the invitation, the inviting person may also, at his or her discretion, submit additional supporting documents justifying the invitation (for example, a document proving family relationship with the invitee, proof of the invitee’s residence status in a foreign country, etc.).

Service fee and Payment procedure

To issue an entry visa invitation as a natural person /individual/, a fee of 5,000 AMD shall be paid. Payment can be made on-site via a POS terminal, online, or at any bank by transferring the amount to the following treasury account: 900005162111100.

Processing time and procedure

Within 15 days after the invitation is submitted to the Migration and Citizenship Service (MCS) unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a decision is made regarding its approval. In case of approval, the applicant is notified by phone call; in case of rejection, the notification is sent by post.
